Bre-L - Oblivion (Grimes Cover)

| Keith

Kerri sort of beat me to the punch yesterday posting a Grimes song. I had this alt-rock pleasure planned for a bit now as it's been kind of stuck in my head. I was a fan of the original and the album, Visions, from which it came. This version, from LA alt-pop-rock outfit Bre-L is a fun take with heavy guitar and more aggressive vocals that I think fits the tone of the song well.

If you're curious about that original song, here is the very well done, appropriate and, especially given the lyrical content of the song, slightly off-putting video.

Robyn - Dancing On My Own

Introducing Pleasures: a place for us to share those songs that make us feel just a little bit guilty about enjoying. First up: "Dancing On My Own" by Robyn. Gotta love that 80's rhythm track and those over the top vocals.
