Coucheron - Loud

| Kerri

Our hearts are in search of the light
Our goal is to keep holding tight
The ferries let go by the night
Our minds aren't thinking the same
We look back on all that is lame
Our spotlight is waiting for fame

And the morning seems too far
As we fly across the sky
What it means is that we die
And the evening never ends
As we hold each others hands
We don't need more

'Cause we are loud

Coucheron is 1/5th of the actual given name of this Norwegian electronic music producer. I read that he won a grammy for his work with Kehlani, and that reminded me it has been a while since I've posted something like this. We're well past the hump of this week, tomorrow is Friday, open your windows and turn this up loud.

Satellite Stories - Campfire

| Kerri

It’s 7 AM
And the letters I send
Won’t follow you home
It’s too late to go

Waited all summer to get to you
Campfire outside, we fell and kissed
There were only a few words said to you
Sunshade, this lake, one to cherish
Waited all summer to get to you
Campfire outside, we fell and kissed
There were only a few words said to you
Sun, shade, this lake, one to cherish
There were only a few words said to you
Sunshade, this lake, one to cherish

Another wanted-to-see-but-missed band at SXSW this year was Satellite Stories. They are huge in their native Finland, and getting more renowned throughout Europe, but that was their first appearance in the US. (Although I'm sure they'll catch on soon and be invited back.) This track, "Campfire", was the most blogged about song of 2013, according to Hype Machine, so I picked it as their debut Most Important despite their release of a new single just last week that is every bit as catchy, so have it for a bonus.

RIYL: Coasts, Wolf Gang, Circa Waves

Coheed and Cambria - Devil in Jersey City

| Keith
New jersey bounds, When sound asleep
They'll find You at your most vulnerable
Poll position, Speak up let out
When down the street the corner boys fuck shit up

Kerri and I are going to see Coheed and Cambria (with The Dear Hunter!) at Stubbs tonight and I'm stoked. They're one of my guilty pleasures and I've been a fan since the beginning. What's more, I generally enjoy most of what they have put out over the years. For today's MIS we're going back to their first album and one of their more straightforward cuts.

RIYL: Circa Survive, At The Drive-In, The Mars Volta, The Fall of Troy, The Dear Hunter
