Luna Bay - Hometown

| Keith
Well, if I go, would you stay,
And remember me as I was?
And when you're calling through the night,
I'll come running to your hometown

If you're looking for a nice, upbeat, feel good, summer hit to get you dancing around your living room (or your backyard, or your chair) look no further than "Hometown" the latest single from London-based indie-pop outfit Luna Bay. They've got a fairly classic pop sound, complete with jangly guitars, smooth, catchy vocals, and finger-snapping percussion.

Tacocat - I Hate the Weekend

| Kerri
Paint the rainbow shades of beige
Take down everything we made
The neighborhood walks home afraid
Cause they were made for the working stiff
With a two day fun permit
Let loose like your life depends on it

Keith just reminded me that "we" saw Tacocat perform in some showcase at SXSW in 2016 - I didn't remember, darn it! Anyway, they're a really fun pop-punk all-girl band from Seattle (bonus song), and this one's really fast and funny and well-suited for a Monday.

RIYL: Bleached, Potty Mouth, Best Coast, Cayetana

Oh Malô - Miss You

| Kerri

I've been countin the days since I last saw your face, oh it's been so long
But this is the only thing I still can find myself writing about
And writing is the only thing that can keep me from crying out loud

Cause' I miss you like hell oh I miss you

Whoops, I meant to post this one during one of the twelve days we were apart, but a day after Keith is back from a work stint in SF will have to do. Oh Malô is an indie quartet from Boston, earning a nom (locally) for Best New Artist in 2015 and releasing their deput LP in 2016.

RIYL: Little Comets, From Indian Lakes, The Boxer Rebellion
